AARON JULIN - Organ, Clavinet, Rhodes, MOOG

Aaron caught the funk addiction many years ago while hunting down the samples from his favorite hip-hop tracks. A long-time trombonist and musical instrument fix-it guy, his fetish for vintage keyboards became full-blown after his move to California from the Boston area in 1998. At one point it got so sad that he actually went hungry for a few days after blowing all his cash on a busted Hohner Clavinet. His top influences are the Old-School groovers like Alan Hawkshaw, Art Neville, Galt MacDermot, Lonnie Smith, Herbie Hancock, and Bernie Worrell.

KEVIN O'DEA - Guitar

This East Bay native was young, ambitious, and blessed with nimble, yet busy, fingers. The triumphs of the pop world weren't for him, but through the funk game struggle between the spider and the fly he could overcome his white bread roots, lure ladies onto the dance floor, and play some nasty guitar in this inner city jungle. Influenced by the likes of Wah Wah Watson, Jimi Hendrix, Roger, Steve Cropper and Grant Green, Kevin's licks are always served hot and at gut level.

DAVE BRICK - Drums

Born and raised in the Bread Basket of the States, Dave Brick (Scorpio) was exposed to soul music from day one as his mama used to put him to sleep with Stevie Wonder. A self-taught drum master, Brick has been crushing rhythms since the ripe age of seven. As a funk/soul enthusiast, he has an enormous mental and physical musical library that steadily grows every day. After playing in various groups in Kansas City, Vermont, and Colorado, Brick migrated to San Francisco with a healthy appetite for playing funk. Always searching for groups and musicians with a similar musical palate, Brick has found his niche playing with the Grease Traps.

GOOPY ROSSI - Bass

Goopy has been thrusting his big bottom around the globe in a quest to make the masses shake their collective booty. As a resident of Honolulu, San Francisco, Tokyo, Brooklyn, and now Oakland, Goopy has laid a thick foundation for a variety of groove-based styles including Reggae, Afrobeat and Funk. While a member of Orlando Julius' Nigerian Allstars he toured the U.S., sharing the bill with Santana and King Sunny Ade as well as headlining at venues such as New Orleans' House of Blues. Goopy's main bass influences are Aston "Familyman" Barrett, Robbie Shakespeare, James Jamerson and Bernard Odum.
